In this Workshop Bob and Rita will continue to build on their Process Model of Couples therapy and coupling. This workshop is suitable for participants of previous Resnick workshops and to new-comers.

  • ‘live’ demonstrations by the Resnicks
  • presentation of theory modules
  • relating clinical work to theory
  • “hands on” role play practice with supervision by Bob and Rita

This workshop is for both therapists who currently work with couples and for those who would like to work with couples.

ABOUT Drs Bob & Rita Resnick

Bob Resnick Ph.D

Bob has been a gestalt therapist for 40 years and an international Gestalt Therapy and Couples Therapy Trainer for over 35 years. Traind (1965-1970) and personally certified (1969) by Drs Fritz Perls and Jim Simkin. Bob is a founding member and was the senior trainer of GTILA. His interview ‘Gestalt Therapy: Principles, Prisms and Perspectives’ defining his views of Gestalt Therapy at that time, appears in the summer 1995 issue of the British Gestalt Journal. ‘The Recursive Loop of Shame’ appears in the Gestalt Review 1997. ‘Chicken Soup is Poison (Perls Festschrift) circa 1969. He is currently developing a series of contemporary Gestalt Therapy and Couples therapy video demonstration and training tapes.

Rita Resnick

Rita has been Faculty Chair of GATLA’s European Summer Residential Training Program since 1991. In addition to her private practice, Rita is actively training psychotherapists in the US, Australia and Europe in both Gestalt and Couples Therapy. Her professional interests include the exploration of innovative and supportive approaches to supervision and a devoted passionate interest in the area of women growing older – menopause and mid-life vitality.
